Delaware State Little League Champions in the 1980s
Major Baseball Division

Three Delaware leagues reached region title games in the 1980s, and came within a game of reaching the Little League World Series. Newark National Little League's 1980 state champions defeated three region tournament opponents before falling in the title game, while Wilmington's Brandywine Little League reached the Eastern Region title game in 1988 and 1989.

Nanticoke claimed four of the ten Delaware championships in the decade, with future major leaguer Delino DeShields leading the league's 1981 all-star team to the Eastern Region semifinals.
