Nanakuli Little League won four consecutive games to claim the championship in the 2012 Hawaii state tournament at Keolu Elementary School in Kailua.

Nanakuli, which is located in Leeward Oahu, claimed the title with a 6-3 victory over Honolulu Little League in the championship game.

The District 7 champions won their first state tournament in the major baseball division since 1994, and the first district championship since 1998.

Nanakuli opened state tournament play with a 10-1 victory over Hilo Little League, and advanced to the winner's bracket final in the five-team tournament by defeating Kawaihau Little League, 10-1. Nanakuli then swept a pair of games from Honolulu, defeating the District 6 winners by a 13-11 score, and, after Honolulu earned a rematch with an 8-7 victory over Kawaihau, defeated the same team in the championship game.

Nanakuli was undefeated in eight games against Hawaiian teams in the international tournament, having swept four games in the District 7 tournament before doing the same at state. The eventual state champions opened tournament play with a 17-0 victory over Ewa Little League, edged Waipio Little League in a 4-3 decision, and swept two contests versus Makakilo/Kapolei/Honokai Hale Little League to claim the title.

The state championship propelled Nanakuli into the West Region tournament in San Bernardino, California. The Hawaiian champions split their four pool contests, and defeated Rincon Little League (Tucson, Arizona) by a 6-5 score in the semifinal round. In the championship game, Nanakuli fell, 7-5, to eventual U.S. runner-up Petaluma National (Northern California) Little League.
