Dennis DiLeo allowed five hits -- and only two after the first inning -- as Medford South eliminated two-time defending champion Swampscott in the semifinals. Paul Bartolini's two-run homer erased an early 2-0 Swampscott lead, and Mike Flynn's RBI double in the second put Medford South ahead for good. In the other semifinal, Weymouth South managed no runs and one hit until the sixth, when they struck for three runs to overtake Westfield South. Medford South then outslugged Weymouth South in the title game.
