West Roxbury Parkway National raced to a 7-0 lead in its semifinal victory over Wakefield National, and held on to win despite commiting five errors. In the other semifinal, Barnstable pitcher Shawn Kingman struck out 12, allowed only three hits, and provided himself with all the support he'd need with a first-inning solo homer to lead Barnstable past Jesse Burkett. West Roxbury then beat Barnstable to capture the state title.
