Ontario Provincial Champions in the 1950s

The Toronto Parkdale Lions and Brockville, which rank first and third in the number of Ontario provincial championships won, met in the Ontario championship game three times between 1957 and 1960. The Toronto club secured the win and corresponding provincial championship in 1957 (and again in 1960), while Brockville won the first of its five Ontario crowns with a win in the 1959 championship game.

The Ontario champion began facing Quebec's winner for the right to advance to the Little League World Series in 1958. Prior to that point, the Ontario winner advanced to face leagues in Upstate New York as the International tournament progressed.

Glebe, which was chartered in 1955 and is the oldest league in Ottawa, defeated the Parkdale Lions in the 1958 Ontario championship game.
