Pennsylvania State Champions in the 1970s

Connellsville became the first repeat winner in Pennsylvania since . . . the last time Connellsville won consecutive titles in the early 1960s. The Western Pennsylvania powerhouse then won an unprecedented third consecutive Pennsylvania title in 1978. Four teams -- North Braddock, Connellsville (1978), Jessup Carbino, and DuBois -- came within a game of qualifying for the World Series.
