Tournament Results:
Format: Pool competition tournament, with the top four teams in each pool advancing to the region finals.
NOTE: Germany’s KMC American Little League competed in the tournament’s early rounds but was later disqualified due to ineligible player violations. KMC American’s roster included three players who lived in Stuttgart, which is over 100 miles from Ramstein. Removing the three players from the roster left KMC American with just eight eligible players and necessitated their forfeiting all remaining games. Little League Baseball excluded all results involving KMC American from the final tournament standings.

The top four teams in each pool advance to the region finals.
Ties are broken based on records in head-to-head competition among tied teams. If a clear winner cannot be determined from head-to-head results, the tie is broken by calculating the ratio of runs allowed to defensive innings played for all teams involved in the tie. The team with the lowest runs-per-defensive-inning ratio advances.
In the event of a tie involving three or more teams, once the initial tie is broken, the remaining tied teams are again compared on head-to-head record to determine if a clear winner can be identified. If no clear winner can be identified from head-to-head results among the remaining tied teams, the runs-per-defensive-inning ratio is again used. This process is repeated until all ties have been broken.

NOTE: Rev. John Foundation won the MEA Region tournament, but was unable to compete in the Little League World Series when the U.S. State Department declined to issue visas to one or more of the team’s players. The State Department cited discrepancies in the answers given to unspecified questions in interviews during the visa process.
Little League Baseball stated that documentation was in order prior to the start of the tournament, but that they would abide by the State Department decision, and instead invited runner-up Arabian American Little League (Saudi Arabia) to compete in the Little League World Series as the MEA representative.
