NOTE: La-Ro-Mi-Py encompassed Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées.
NOTE: This tournament was played March 26-28, 2016. It determined France's representative in the 2017 Europe-Africa Region tournament. The winning team can elect to participate in the Little League Baseball or Intermediate division tournament, with the runner-up eligible for the tournament not chosen by France's champion.
NOTE: With a densely-packed schedule of games and a limited number of available fields, France's tournament employs a strict 90-minute time limit in which games needed to be completed. As a result, many games conclude prior to a regulation six innings of play.
Tournament Results:
Format: This tournament had nine participants, and included three phases.
In the first phase, teams are divided into three 3-team pools for round robin competition. The three first place teams advanced to the same pool for Phase 2, while the three second place teams and three third place teams were also placed into the same pools.
Phase 2 involved round robin competition within these pools. The three first place teams from Phase 1 as well as the winner of Pool 2 advance to the semifinal round in Phase 3. All other teams advance to consolation games in Phase 3.
