Georgia State Champions in the 1970s
Major Baseball Division

Championship flags continued to be spread throughout the state in the 1970s, as no fewer than nine different leagues captured Georgia championships. East Marietta National was one of three Atlanta-area winners, and their 1970 all-star team reached the Southern Region championship game before ending its tournament run. Columbus-based leagues also captured three titles, while Masters City won Augusta's first title in a quarter-century, and Macon added to its legacy by winning its fourth and fifth Georgia championships.

Thomaston earned District 4's only state title by sweeping through the field in the 1972 state tournament in Toccoa.
