Summary:
Adam Fomoso's chop to third in the bottom of the seventh inning pushed across the winning run and completed Nottingham Little League's comeback from an early 3-0 defecit in its opening round win over Manapalan National Little League -- and the District 12 champions rolled from there. A 10-run sixth inning and Matt Wolski's 13-strikeout effort on the mound keyed a 17-1 thumping of Sparta Little League in the winner's bracket finals, and a 10-run third inning toppled Clark Little League, 16-1, in the title game.
Nottingham also won the Eastern Region tournament, and eventually finished as the United States runner-up at the Little League World Series following a tense 1-0 decision against Long Beach (Southern California) Little League.
