New Jersey State Champions in the 1980s
Little League Baseball Division (Ages 10-12)

Cherry Hill American and Morristown National dominated New Jersey Little League in the 1980s. Cherry Hill captured three state titles in four trips to the state tournament, while Morristown National won a pair of state championships and seven Section 1 titles. The two leagues finished 1-2 in New Jersey three times in the 1980s; no other New Jersey league made more than two trips to the state final four in the decade.

While Cherry Hill and Morristown had the most success in state tournament play, the best finisher in the East Region Tournament was Palisades Park, which advanced to the championship game in 1984 before losing a tight 1-0 duel to the Bristol (CT) McCabe-Waters LL.
