Summary:

Danny Terio used an assortment of off-speed pitches to keep Amherst hitters off-balance in the title game, and registered two key strikeouts in the sixth inning to preserve Walpole's 3-2 title game win. Walpole snapped a 2-2 tie in the fifth when Jim Manning's bases-loaded sacrifice fly scored Joe Procaccini. Manning's fly ball was caught by centerfielder Ben Chilik over the centerfield fence. In the sixth, Amherst moved two runners into scoring position before Terio ended the game with two strikeouts. Walpole's eight title-game hits included four bunt singles and two infield hits.
