Tournament Results:

Results from the 1963 Pacific Region tournament are not available. Gyokusen Little League from Kawasaki City, Japan wins the tournament, but is unable to travel to the Little League World Series as the Japanese government had a policy prohibiting elementary school teams from competing in games outside their prefectural area. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would not issue passports to the team in deference to the Ministry of Education’s policy.

The following year, Little League officials in Japan successfully appealed directly to the Foreign Minister to reverse this policy, enabling Japanese teams to compete in the Little League World Series.
